The 27th Vintage international swimming around the Wiesental-Pokal of SV Blau-Weiß Bochum 1896 eV took place from 23.05.-25.05.2008 instead. 

This Wiesental-Pokal should be the greatest that ever took place. A total of 820 Active from 40 clubs at the start. We had it this time with 3685 starts on three days to do so. In order for this to beältigen well, were a lot of helpers needed. It succeeded thanks to the support of many parents of all our swimmers. Likewise, we had the starting time for the race prior, so we have the event at a reasonable time could stop. 

At 27 Wiesental-Pokal we had two swimmers from the 2008 Olympic squad welcome (Steffen & Daniela Samulski Dreiser). Even the name "International" is again justified. We were allowed to return to the team WWV Winterswijk in the Netherlands welcomed us warmly. 

The battle for the traveling trophy "Wiesental-Pokal" could this time of SG Gladbeck won. You erschwammen 1330 points and were thus almost 150 points ahead of runner, SG Essen. The hometown club SV Blau-Weiß Bochum could not to intervene in the fight. We landed with about 200 points behind the SG Gladbeck ranked 3rd 

Overall, we are very pleased with the 27th Vintage international swimming to his Wiesental-Pokal. Thanks to the numerous support from all sectors, we have the event with only 10min after finish calculation.
